Strategic Planning at
EKU
Make the planning process work for you, rather than you working for
the planning process. This session will help you to understand the basics
and benefits of strategic planning, and how to use the process to strengthen
your ability to provide direction and leadership to a department or
unit. This workshop will provide information on how departments and
units can bring more meaning to their respective planning processes,
as well as updates regarding EKU’s progress in fulfilling identified
goals and strategic directions.
Offered Sept. 12, 1:00pm - 3:00pm, Library 208
Triple Threat: Assessment Measures
that Gather Data for Program, General Education, and QEP Simultaneously
There is no need to create two or three different assessment tools to
collect data for your academic program, general education courses and
the QEP. This workshop will be a hands-on session in which you will
modify an existing assessment tool or create a new assessment tool that
can collect data for more than one purpose. If you are interested in
this work session, please contact Stacey Street to discuss materials
to prepare for the session.
Offered Sept. 20, 9:00am - 11:00am, Library 208 and Sept. 26, 1:00pm
- 3:00pm, Library 208

Objectives (2 hour session)

can offer opportunities to celebrate successes being achieved in a program
and can point the way to implementing program improvement strategies.
Selecting assessment methods can be intimidating. This workshop will
clarify the process of choosing appropriate ways to measure student
learning. For maximum program benefit, faculty teams are encouraged
to attend and to bring copies of current assessment plans.
Offered Nov. 1, 9:00am-11:00am, Library 208
Analyzing & Using Results of Student Learning Objectives
(2 hour session)
For those who have collected data on educational objectives and are
ready to analyze that information and use it to make improvements. This
interactive workshop will answer the questions: how and when do I analyze
my data? How do I use results to improve my program? How do I close
the loop? For maximum program benefit, teams are encouraged to attend
and to bring copies of current educational objectives, key performance
indicators, and data collection results.
Offered Nov. 7, 1:00pm-3:00pm, Library 208
Analyzing & Using Results of Student Learning Assessment:
