Strategic Planning Manual - Preface
This strategic planning manual is intended to guide departments through
the unit-level strategic planning process of Eastern Kentucky University
during the 2003-2006 planning cycle. It also serves as a reference for
strategic planning in general.
The strategic planning manual will be revised as changes are made.
Units are asked to 1) relate programs, activities, services, projects,
and operations specifically to EKU’s university-wide Strategic
Plan and 2) think specifically in terms of documenting “institutional
effectiveness” as that phrase is understood in the Southern Association
of Colleges and Schools’ (SACS) Principles for Accreditation.
